Free Suzi Blu Mixed Media Workshop: The Tudors/Elizabeth
I like to clean out the archives every so often to make room for new work, especially when they were done before the invention of HD cameras. Here is a sample of one of the very first classes I taught, circa the summer of 2009. My style and techniques have changed a lot since then, as I focus more on creating a roundness to the face. Check out my newest workshop at the bottom of this post!
8 Years of teaching mixed media art online has certainly increased my skill levels, but it’s been the teaching of 2 new classes, to 100 (and growing), devoted, responsive women, every single month, that has powerfully evolved my style. Every day I am intoxicated with new artistic adventures and seeing how they change not just a woman’s art, but her life.
In my studio, I demonstrate techniques of course, but art feels meaningless if it is not infused with psychological inquiry and passion. There is a soul living inside each painting, containing insight and spiritual medicine between artist and Creator. We, as observers, get to view this intimate conversation, best said by D.H. Lawrence, “every true artist is the salvation of every other.” If you would like to join this tribe, this artful painting coven, and connect your art with soul, please join us.
